Health courses in TAFE
This course is for people who want to work as an enrolled nurse. You will be required to undertake clinical work placement in a variety of approved clinical facilities. You will learn about legal and ethical issues in health care, effective communication strategies, anatomy and physiology and development through the lifespan. A range of medical and health problems and related nursing care in a variety of contexts such as medical/surgical nursing, paediatrics or aged care as well as the administration of medication is also delivered within the course.
As clinical work placement in a public, private hospital or other clinical facility is a compulsory part of this course, you will need to undergo occupational screening and be vaccinated against infectious diseases.
On successful completion of the course the learner will be eligible to apply for enrolment as an enrolled nurse with the Nurses and Midwives Board of NSW.
